The Advancement and Awareness team is constantly pushing the envelope to move Women for Sobriety forward. Tasks include fundraising, organizing events, and identifying opportunities to bring the New Life message to the professional recovery community.

The Outreach Team works to increase general awareness of the Women for Sobriety organization by participating in local, regional, national, and international recovery events and conferences as attendees and/or presenters.

The Materials Team manages the publishing and distribution of printed products available to the public, evaluating and updating these published offerings as needed. Additionally, they provide editing support and graphic design to staff and volunteers.

The Volunteer Empowerment Team provides information for prospective volunteers. They celebrate our wonderful volunteers by sending thank you letters and planning events in their honor.


Description

The Information Technology Team keeps our organization running smoothly and our community connected. This team manages all technology operations - including systems infrastructure, hardware and software support, and data security - while also overseeing our private online community and social media presence. With a strong commitment to privacy and safety, they maintain the digital spaces where our members come together to connect and support one another on their sobriety journeys.  Committees within the team include the Community Care Group, the Social Media Workgroup, and WFS Online Greeters.


Description

The Greeters do just that: Greet! They welcome new members to the online community and answer simple questions about getting started. Greeters report to the Community Care Group.


Description

Community Care Group (CCG) provides technical support to users experiencing more complex technical issues or that have more difficult questions. CCG answers more difficult questions, especially technical ones, and reports to the Digital Manager. CCG is here to help our community participants navigate our WFS Online community and is dedicated to ensuring inclusivity, civility and alignment with our Terms of Use. CCG members must have technical knowledge and a minimum of 6 months on WFS Online.


Description

The Facebook Workgroup manages the forums on our private New Life Facebook account. They support new members, answer questions, post content and monitor for Terms of Use violations.


Description

Social media is the way the world talks and we want some help spreading the word. Members of this workgroup help the staff create social media-ready graphics, write copy, film videos, and interact with others on social media to build our brand. You can help by working with one social media platform or all of them!
